Charles Everett Mattingly

May 20, 1950 — December 16, 2012

Mr. Charles "Chuck" Everett Mattingly age 62 of Campbellsburg passed away Sunday, December 16 at Salem Crossing after a long battle with cancer.

Chuck was born May 20, 1950 the son of Joseph A. Mattingly and Mary Ellen Hughes Fordice.  He was a life time member of the American Legion and VFW.  He lived most of his life in Washington County, except for his military duty.  He was a Vietnam War Army veteran.  Chuch was a wonderful Grandpa and loved to travel.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, one brother and one sister.  He is survived by his three children:  Stephanie, Allison and Chad.  He is also survived by one brother:  Joseph A. "Bill" Mattingly (Carol), five sisters: Mary F. Benda (Dale), Joyce J. Brown (Carl Wayne), Lottie L. Speer, Barbara E. Piatt, and Kathy M. Albertson, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, one uncle, one aunt, many cousin, nieces, nephews and special friends:  The Lester Gilbert family.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Main officiating.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 10AM-1PM at the funeral home.
