Cecil Bugsy Kemp

December 9, 1947 — March 6, 2014

Cecil Wayne “Bugsy” Kemp age 66 of Austin passed away Thursday, March 6 at Scott Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Kemp was born December 9, 1947 in Campbellsburg the son of Cecil and Hallie Chastain Kemp.  He was an employee of Blue River Industries.  He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and American Legion.

He is survived by a brother:  James E. “Jim” Kemp of Orleans, four sisters:  Mary Kemp of Monroe City, Indiana, Helen Sama , Sarah Bachman and Diana Green all of Campbellsburg.  He is also survived by his caregiver:  Christine Stanley of Austin and his roommate:  George.   He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers:  Donnie, Bobby, Kenny and David Kemp and three sisters:  Kathleen Goen, Carolyn McCoy and Rose Rosenbaum.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00AM at New Hope United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10-11AM at the church.
