Catherine (Gilstrap) Kirby

Mrs. Catherine Kirby age 89 of Salem passed away Sunday, February 15 at Paoli Health and Living.
Mrs. Kirby was born September 20, 1925 in Livonia the daughter of William and Louanna Chastain Gilstrap. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Kirby in 1979, two sons: Michael and Ralph Kirby, three step-children, six brothers, five sisters, one great-grandson, one great-great-grandson, two step-grandchildren and her parents.
She is survived by two sons: Jim and Paul Kirby both of Salem, a daughter: Janet Gibbons of Salem, a sister: Florence Richardson of Greensburg, Indiana, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 10 step-grandchildren, 28 step-great-grandchildren and 12 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
