Catherine Elizabeth (Bridgewater) Curry

Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Bridgewater Curry age 87 of Orleans passed away Monday, December 29 at Hosparus Inpatient Unit in Louisville.

Mrs. Curry was born May 15, 1927 in Indianapolis the daughter of Earnest and Mary Wible Bridgewater.  She was a faithful member of Livonia Baptist Church where she served as pianist, treasurer and past Sunday School teacher.  She was a member of Ruth and Naomi Mission Circle.  She was a former 4-H leader.

Catherine married Maze Curry on August 31, 1952 and he preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother:  Laverne Bridgewater, sisters-in-law:  Carol Curry Strange, Sallie Robertson Curry and Bernice Coomer Curry and brothers-in-law:  Robert Curry, Shively Parnell, Gene McLean and Maurice Curry.

She is survived by a son:  Roger Curry (Cindy) of Marengo, two daughters:  Rhonda Oglesby (William) of Galatia, Illinois and Mary Elliott (Alan) of Greenville, Indiana, grandchildren:  Jon David Oglesby (Julia), Joshua Oglesby (Angie), Jessica Morber (Jeremy), Daniel Elliott (Katie), Tia Curry, Elaine Schmidt (Ethan) and Marissa Curry, great-grandchildren:  Jaden Oglesby, Jace Oglesby, Addyson Oglesby, Easton Oglesby and Lydia Morber, sisters-in-law:  Bertine Bridgewater, Jessie Parnell, Betty Parnell, Barbara Curry, Fannie McLean, Carolyn Curry, Beverly Curry, brothers-in-law:  Finis Curry, Carl Curry, Bob Strange and Calvin Curry.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Livonia Baptist Church with Finis Curry officiating.  Burial will follow in Livonia Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Saturday from 10AM-time of service at the church.
