Carol A Chastain

Mrs. Carol A. Chastain, age 65, of Salem passed away Sunday, April 19 at her home.

Mrs. Chastain was born February 6, 1955 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Marvin Hoke and Mary Wheat Brewer.  She was a retired employee of Tecumseh.

Carol is survived by her husband:  Terry Chastain. They were married February 3, 1973.  She is also survived by two sons:  Terry D. Chastain of South Korea and Cory Chastain of Bloomington, Indiana, two daughters:  Tammy Lopez of Charlestown and Christina Barro of Jeffersonville, five sisters:  Anita Maudlin of Salem, Terri Hoke of Salem, Nora Hess of Paoli, Glenda Mousty of Salem, and Nancy Duffy of Fort Wayne, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers:  David Hoke and James Robert Hoke, and a sister:  Vicki Mauck.

Funeral services will be private.  Burial will be in Smedley Cemetery.
