Mr. Billy L. Barrett age 73 of Salem passed away Wednesday, January 29 at his home.
Mr. Barrett was born March 29, 1940 in Washington County, Indiana the son of Wilbur and Gertrude Persinger Barrett. He was a retired employee of Smith Cabinet Company. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Catfish Masters Club, Salem Catfish Club, Catfish Club, Redneck Catfish Club, Washington County Fish and Game Club, Washington County Coon Hunters Club and Indiana Coon Hunters Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Connie Harris Barrett, a sister: Nancy Barrett Hurst and his parents.
He is survived by three sons: Michael Barrett of Seymour, and Allen and Christopher Barrett both of Bedford, two sisters: Barbara Payne of Salem and Carolyn Miller (Roy) of Corydon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11AM-time of service.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Barbara Payne 119 Washington Blvd. Salem, IN 47167 to be divided among the fishing clubs Bill enjoyed.
