Bernard Eugene Corn

Mr. Bernard E. Corn age 83 of New Albany, formerly of Salem, passed away Monday, December 31 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Corn was born April 3, 1929 in Washington County, Indiana the son of Ovel and Myrtle Elliott Corn. He was a retired employee of Bata Shoe Company. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Salem (High Street) Church of Christ and a 50 year member of Salem Masonic Lodge #21.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Christina M. Corn on May 6, 1989, his parents and a sister: Bonnie Loheide. He is survived by his wife and best friend: Irene Bush Corn of New Albany,a son: Steven Corn of New Albany, a daughter: Marcia Gettelfinger of Palmyra, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service. Masonic services will be held Thursday at 7:15PM at the funeral home.
