Barbara Jean Walker

Mrs. Barbara Jean Walker age 72, of Salem, passed away Thursday, November 19 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Mrs. Walker was born December 20, 1947 in New Albany, Indiana the daughter of George Everett and Jeannie Smith Little. She was a member of the Church of God in Salem. The Co-Owner of Little Sisters in Canton, and was retired from Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her son: John Matthew Walker (Thomasina) of Salem, a brother: Howard Little (Wendy) of Salem, a sister: Connie Emery (Virgil) of Salem, three grandchildren: Daisy Norman, Brandon Walker, and Keagan Walker, two great-grandchildren: Levi Norman and Jessie Norman, and her mother: Jeannie Little of Salem.

She is preceded in death by a brother: Michael Everett Little, a sister: Pamela Kay Sill, one great-grandchild: Wade Norman, and her father: George Everett Little.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-until time of service at the funeral home.

Due to Indiana mandates visitation will be limited to 50 people and masks are required to be worn and social distancing practiced.
