Barbara M (Bowles) Thixton

Mrs. Barbara M. Thixton age 63 of Salem passed away Wednesday, July 18 at her home.

Mrs. Thixton was born April 1, 1955 in Colorado the daughter of James (Les) Bowles and Virginia Lee Boles Bowles.  She was a long- time employee of Jean’s Extrusions.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 41 years:  Timothy Thixton of Salem, two sons:  Scot (Julie) Thixton of Salem and Dale Thixton of Salem, siblings:  James “Frank” and Dee Bowles of Virginia, Jeremy (Crystal) Bowles of Seymour, Terry (Dickie) Wheeler of Salem, Vince (Brenda) Bowles of Salem, Allan (Carolyn) Bowles of Salem, and Billie Jo Bowles of Louisville, two grandchildren:  Gabrielle and Jack Thixton and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers:  David Allen Bowles and Brian Eugene Bowles.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 3:30-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
