Audrey Ruth (Strange) Winslow

Mrs. Audrey Ruth Winslow age 89 of Salem passed away Thursday, November 22 at Salem Crossing.

Mrs. Winslow was born May 16, 1929 in Paoli, Indiana the daughter of Harry H. and Goldie Mae Childers Strange. She was retired from Smith Cabinet Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Salem.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband: Vern Winslow Jr., eleven brothers: Roscoe, Merris, Harris, John, James, Charles, Harry, Paul, Scotty, Roger, and Jack Strange, four sisters: Mary Nicholson, Bonnie Drager, Betty Brooks, and Rachel Marshall, and her parents.

She is survived by her children: Anna Mae Bowling of Salem, Wilma Jean McCauley of Austin, TX, Steve Winslow, Marsha Winslow, and Penny Bachman all of Salem, two sisters: Marie Williams of Sellersburg, and Maxine Buchanan of Paoli, three granddaughters: Amy Abner, Jody Robertson, and Mandy Oppel, and 2 great-granddaughters: Kennedy Abner and Araya Barger.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
