Annette "Napier" Apple, 73, of Salem, Indiana passed away on March 2, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana surrounded by her family.
Annette was born on August 22, 1950, to Hargis and Hannah Napier. Annette grew up in Yerkes, Kentucky with her six siblings. She attended Fork Mouthed School. Growing up her and her siblings loved to play jacks, hide and seek and go fishing with their dad. Her and her sisters enjoyed making popcorn balls and candy during the day and staying up late at night and talking with each other.
She worked at the Austin Supermarket and JayC in the deli where she was known to be an amazing cook. Her most important job was being as mother, she was a homemaker for many years when her children were growing up. She was known for keeping a spotless house with no clutter, even if that meant throwing away her husband's "junk" while he was at work. She also had a love for working outside. She was constantly outside in the summer, mowing the grass, tending to flower beds, and then raking leaves in the fall. Annette had a love for cats, especially her beloved cats GMC and Smokey who were waiting for her in Heaven.
Annette is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Dallas Apple; daughter, Sandra (Mike) Barrett of Salem, IN; sons, Anthony "Buddy" (Angie) Shuler of Salem, IN and Nick (Sophia) Apple of Jeffersonville, IN; siblings, Grace Baker of Combs, KY, Clara Mae Morris of Yerkes, KY, Betty Williams of Austin, IN, Jenny (Charlie) Reynolds of Mt. Carmel, TN, and Charles (Ann) Napier of Austin, IN; grandchildren Jacob Stevens, Tyler (Jerica) Catron, Justine (Josh) Keys, Desi (Diana) Adams, Christian (Bronwyn) Barrett, Faith Adams, Hope (Bennie) Ambers, Kelsey (Alex) Doebler, Katy (Landon Glidewell) Shuler, Abby (Zane) Elliott, Kye, Keegan and Evan Apple. Great grandchildren, Blakelynn Stevens, Juliana and Joelle Keys, Lina and Allie Glidewell, Willow Caroline and William Ambers, Colter and Maylene Zelivetz, Clayton Doebler, Hayden Barrett, and four more great grandchildren on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Hargis and Hannah Napier; her first husband, Clarence Shuler; daughter, Mary Shuler; and brother, Jim Napier.
A visitation will be held for Annette on March 7th, 2024, from 10:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M with the funeral services at 1:00 P.M at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem, IN.
