Mrs. Anna Kathryn Neideffer, age 92, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, January 27 at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.
Mrs. Neideffer was born February 10, 1928 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Andy Welch and Thelma Roberts Gilstrap. She was a member of New Salem First Church of God. She was retired from Kimball’s and had worked for Community Home Grocery and Bundy’s Grocery.
She is survived by a son: Gregory Ball (Debbie) of Salem, two daughters: Marcia Pollock (David) of Salem and Melody Nelson (Mark) of Salem, a step-son: Robert D. Neideffer of Tampa, Florida, a step-daughter: Melinda Hobson (Kent) of Salem, five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Joseph Micel Ball, a brother: Jon. F. “Sonny” Gilstrap, a sister: Jane Griffen, a granddaughter, a step-grandson, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10AM-time of service.
Due to Covid restrictions, only 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time for visitation and masks must be worn at all times.
